Joseph G. Greenberg, President and CEO

Prior to founding Alta in 1999, Mr. Greenberg worked as an exploration geologist for Shell Oil Company and Edge Petroleum Company. Mr. Greenberg received a B.S. in Geology and Geophysics from Yale University in 1983, and a Masters in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986. He has twenty-six years of diversified experience in domestic oil and gas exploration. Mr. Greenberg is currently the Board Chair of the YES Prep Public Schools, a system of high performing 6-12 grade schools serving over 5,000 low income children in Houston.

Richard Grigsby, Vice President - Exploration

Mr. Grigsby received a B.A. degree in Geology from the University of Colorado in 1976, and a M.S. degree in Geology from the University of Houston in 1990. He has thirty-five years of diversified experience in domestic oil, gas and mineral exploration. Mr. Grigsby joined Union Carbide Corporation in 1976 where he successfully explored for Uranium, Base and Precious Metals throughout the western United States. In 1983, Mr. Grigsby left the mineral exploration industry and joined Edge Petroleum Corporation to conduct domestic oil and gas exploration. Mr. Grigsby's work led to six significant new field discoveries creating in excess of $100,000,000 gross reserve value. Mr. Grigsby joined Alta Resources, L.L.C. in January of 2004. Mr. Grigsby is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Houston Geological Society.

Jennifer McCarthy, Vice President - Operations

Mrs. McCarthy received a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2000 where she was the recipient of the Robert Whiting Graduate of the Year Award. Prior to joining Alta Resources, L.L.C. in May of 2006, she was a Senior Drilling Engineer for Burlington Resources. Mrs. McCarthy is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and is past Chair of the Drilling and Completion Technical Committees for the SPE Annual Technical Conference.

Hank Woods, Exploration Manager

Mr. Woods received a B.A. degree in Geology and Business with honors from Vanderbilt University in 1978 and a M.S. degree in Geology from the University of New Orleans in 1980. He joined Shell Oil Company in 1980 and was involved in several discoveries which helped revitalize the offshore shelf effort. Mr. Woods joined Newfield Exploration in 1993 and worked on a variety of domestic and international projects. In 2007, he joined start-up Common Resources LLC and the East Texas team there extended the Haynesville Shale core area approximately eighty miles to the southwest in 2009. The properties were sold for $446 million in May, 2010. Hank joined Alta in June of 2010.

Debbie Greer, Land Manager

Mrs. Greer received a B.A. degree and M.A. degree in 1998 and 2002, respectively, from Baylor University and her J.D. degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 2005. Prior to joining Alta Resources, L.L.C. in September 2010, she was a landman for Griffith Land Services, Inc. Mrs. Greer is an active member of the Texas Bar Association and the Houston Phi Beta Kappa Scholarship Committee.
